About Me
Hi, I’m Miwa – creator of Darker Soul Designs which is a small-scale venture run by me, myself, and I!
It all started when I wanted to create the ‘forever home’ I’ve always wanted. I didn’t want flatpack IKEA furniture or anything modern, I wanted the ornate styles found in well-made solid pieces of vintage and antique furniture…but the colour brown didn’t sit well with my ‘forever home’ vision. There was nothing online that truly fit the bill when I searched ‘gothic and alternative furniture UK’…I didn’t want just black painted furniture. I wanted something that was genuinely unique. Hence, Darker Soul Designs was born.
Having honed the skill of upcycling furniture, I’ve decided to branch out and create pieces for other kindred spirits who share the same interests in the alternative, gothic and weird side of life. Every piece I create, I love – bringing both mine and my client’s visions to life! There are no limitations to my designs, so I’m always eager to hear new concepts or themes that fit my dark and alternative style.
What I do is completely unique and unusual. Each piece is sourced, prepped, painted, sealed, wrapped, and delivered to your doorstep. Some may think bespoke equates to expensive and unattainable but don’t hesitate to get in touch, as I can help create a piece to fit all budgets.
